Recruiting and retaining good, quality educators in rural schools is a significant problem in Montana. To help draw good educators to schools struggling to hire and retain teachers, each year the Montana Telecommunications Association (MTA) will award one $1,500 scholarship to a current or incoming educator who commits to teaching for three consecutive years in eligible schools in Montana. The scholarship will renew for two additional years – for a total of $4,500 over three years for each winning educator.

The objective of the WyTA Scholarship is to assist individuals who desire to further their education after high school. The student or student’s parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must receive telecommunication service from a participating Wyoming Telecommunications Association member. For complete details, eligibility, and application, visit the Wyoming Telecommunications Association.

The application window has closed, please visit the Foundation for Rural Service for scholarship recipients.

The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), in cooperation with NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, seeks to sustain and enhance the quality of life in America by advancing an understanding of rural issues. Range, a proud member of NTCA, supports FRS in this worthy endeavor. If a graduating high school senior from our service area is selected for one of the FRS national scholarships ($2,000 each), Range will contribute an additional $500, bringing the FRS award to $2,500. Parents or guardians must be Range customers of voice or broadband internet service. For complete details, click here.
